The Emirates First Experience - What to Expect?

What’s the Paradis like? I’ve tried the XO, which was very good. Is it much of a step up in taste to the Paradis?
I will be the first to admit I am not a big cognac drinker but I could tell the difference between having the XO a few days before we left and having the Paradis onboard.

I am hoping one day to find the route that they have the Paradis Imperial on board to try that.

I’m pretty new to cognac but it’s a much sharper then smoother taste than the XO. There was one other option in F which I’m keen to try and should be able to in next few weeks. I’ll keep an eye out for Imperial too. I generally prefer scotch but think I could grow into cognac!

About 90 minutes from landing I asked for a bit more to eat. Was only going to have one of the snacks offered (a pie, some gyoza or (I think) noodles). The FA told me everything that was remaining (and there was a lot given only two of us onboard) was to be warmed up so open choice. I had the Japanese beef starter, and the chicken gyoza. They were both excellent.

This is off topic but I figured it was better than starting a new thread.

I've done a quick search but cannot find an anything.

Does Emirates have seat to seat chat?
A mate told me about the virgin Austria seat to seat chat.

When I was on board I couldn't find it myself, I didn't search that thoroughly however.

Not as far as I’m aware.

I got the Imperial this morning. On EK 1. Makes sense. Other than being a flight that leaves at 7:40 am.

It may have been 8:30 am but I wasn’t going to let this opportunity pass. I may well have had a couple pre-lunch then some more post-lunch. The purser looking after me was very generous.

It was extremely nice. Going to be hard to top this.

I'm very very jealous.
I may have to try and lock in a reward flight before they disappear from Qantas completely.

I just realised it’s $3000 a bottle. Wowsers.

Only a sample of one, but this was the first EK F flight in a series this month where the cabin has been close to full. I think 12 of 14 taken. The others I’ve been on have had 2 pax and 4. Wonder if reward seats might be tough on this sector?

Yep it's insanely priced.

I'm guessing they would be tough to find.
I'll start doing some homework and if it works out it works out, if it doesn't it doesn't.

Cheers for letting me know though.

Rewinding a bit. Some pics from my SIN- DXB 21:40 flight.

Quality kit. Surprisingly light too.

Wine list. Only one I tried was the first of the reds. Very nice.

Grilled grouper.

Nice pieces of fish and well prepared, but overall quite a bland dish and I didn’t enjoy it. Lemon was (presumably) mistakenly cooked. FA off her own bat brought me several lime wedges.

Then the cheese.

Sadly couldn’t fit much in. But did enjoy the fabulous terrine:

And then the poke bowl.

Sorry about the blurred picture. I blame the lateness of the hour, and maybe one other factor.

The wait staff in the restaurant were absolutely superb. Given the hour I was really impressed.
