Shared 50,000 back & forth! One was instant, one still has not gone through, 12 hours now!

Is USDM perhaps adopting controls like American Aadvantage? When I purchase miles from them, even though have flown, redeemed etc, they always take a day or two to post, never instant.

Well both use points.com don't they?

My recent three Share Miles transactions were reflected immediately in one case and the next day in the other two cases.

Satisfactory outcome in my books!

2 account which have been open for almost four years and both share transactions showed immediately.

Two accounts shared for my two sons. This one is a corker. Last day is Sunday so you have a few hours left seeing it is US time. $567.50US for 50,000 miles per person you share with is very good value.

US DM Share Miles promotions are always a real boon. If it wasn't for rug-pulling devaluations looming fears over the populace, it'd be too easy to whip out the credit card, unless you (a) didn't have an account already set up, (b) had no miles to start with, and/or (c) don't have the money right now to commit.

Here is another data point... which may allay a little worry if your points are taking ages to process...

I am fairly new to USDM; have bought & shared miles over the last 6 months as have family members. The sum experience over those 9 transactions between us was anything from a few seconds at most to process (yes really!) through to 2-3 days. I thought I had recognised a pattern related to the US weekend time zone, but transactions during the latest share miles promo has disproven the hypothesis.

Glad that I have started spreading my 'loyalty', & therefore risk, more widely than QF seeing as they recently sent me an email advising that my business was not appreciated unless I buy expensive fares to get flexibility which I do not need :(

If you use paypal to share your miles will give you immediate points on account!!
Buyed and Shared zillion times...
