Im assuming Doubletree - hit and miss. If you get the big Asian girl on check out, you will be charged regardless of gold, diamond or Trump Hairpiece. Most of the other counter staff are ok in my experience

Hey Termite love your profile page. Back on topic I found your observations accurate though in my experience size did not really matter. They just charge!

I am not a fan of Hilton Coffee at the best of times. I generally will go for a walk and buy a coffee from some where else and bring it back. My partner also has flavoured coffee and Hilton doesn't have it anyway generally anyway and if they do it will be either way of not right so either to sweet or not able to be tasted.

Brisbane Hilton this week - couple next to me were advised free pot coffee but $5 for any barista made coffee. They were having full buffet. I asked for double espresso just to check (though also as the pot coffee was woeful). No charge stated at time of order, nor applied.

As of last week Hilton Darwin has installed an "all-in-one" type coffee machine in the restaurant (to complement the one in the lounge).

Now espresso coffees cost for all guests including Diamond members, and appear to only be available in the restaurant.

The "associate" comped my coffee today as I didn't know, but indicated he would start charging from tomorrow.

I think I will write to the GM tonight.
