Count me in too as I missed having status matched. Can we also negotiate a price for Lifetime membership....also missed out on QP!!??

An even better deal:

Normally, $369 per year (plus $199 joining fee), Monash staff can purchase the membership for just $200 annually and no joining fee... This offer is valid to 31 January 2012.

Pity I don't work at Monash Uni.. :(

With the pending changes to The Lounge membership, have we heard anything more on getting Corporate rates for AFF members? Any chance of arranging this before the price increase??? :D VA would you have any update for us?

Just joined as a Gold member. Exceptional value for A$50. Never really knew this existed. Happy to pay to help to keep the AFF lights on.:D

Umm... sorry, what's the connection/link between AFF Gold Member (A$50) and The Lounge membership, or did I miss something here..?

Gold Membership of AFF allows access to benefits such as the corporate schemes for QFF and hopefully DJ?

I'm also eagerly awaiting such a benefit, though would hope it would also take into account Silver status, as that's what I'll be. :p

I think you might be getting confused. Gold AFF membership is the $50 you can pay to get access to the AFF QP scheme, more private messages and a few other things. The idea is that there would also be a VA Lounge scheme available as well as the QP.

Your Velocity status would be irrelevant (unless you were Gold and lounge membership becomes a null point).

Lol!

I'm an AFF Gold member. One of the benefits is a signature, which you'll note I have ;)

My comment related to a discount available to Velocity Silver members in The Lounge scheme. So if a corporate membership were made available I'd hope that a further discount would apply based on Velocity Silver status, which I'm sure to have soon!

No confusion here.

The silver discount is only available to non corporate schemes, effectively it gives Silver members corporate like pricing, you cannot expect to get a further discount below that level as a corporate member, its pretty reasonable at $249 per annum as it stands.

Whoops.

Haha. In a more awake state, I now see what you meant!

I might have to create a signature myself ;)
