I won't be travelling shock, but still can't make that date - Fridays on such short notice are generally not good for me ... :-|

I arrive in SFO in early July and will be back in Melbourne by late July/early August. Not sure what's happening in September yet but I'll be sure to keep you posted.

Last I checked, JAL has rather competitive prices in Y+ these days. You can do an SC run to MEL and back?

Unfortunately this will be my first trip to Thailand where I will totally avoid Bangkok due to what has happened there recently. Normally I would spend 1-2 nights there.
