The New Emirates Business Class

Thank god emirates are changing the planes/seat from Aus. The a345 would have the worst business class on long haul flights around. I always hope for an upgrade and when I didnt get it I would be hurting for days (also usually have another 9 hour leg after Dubai on a343, older recliners but almost more comfortable than the a345)

Flying this weekend on the 773 so fingers crossed the seats are better

Entirely up to the airline. I fly EK regularly but their 77W services to the east coast aren't a patch on SQ's. It's almost worth flying going out of my way to fly on an A388 flight out of SYD or the 772LR flights from PER. It's also luck of the draw on shorter flights out of some nearer ports with some of EK's 77Ws, which have a fit out up the front that wouldn't have looked amiss on one of AN's decrepit 762s.

On the A345 specifically, SQ's use of that a/c is instructive. EWR-SIN is probably the best flight I've ever had. Decor, service, the new J (Z), dining, IFE, not just the novelty SQ21 presents, make for an experience that is everything an EK A345 isn't.
