I am definitely tempted by your excellent suggestion. The only problem I can see, besides the fact that we fly out on Friday afternoon, is that my Gold status has plummeted to Blue. So we are unlikely to have access to the Executive lounge.

LOL! I'm usually in the same boat but as I was trying my hardest to get to MEL this week for Friday's get together, I ended up confirming my MEL trip early and it's not this week.
