Hi guys does any body know when VA will start doing the refurb of the A330 in the new j class seat. they have been very quite of late.

Hi guys does any body know when VA will start doing the refurb of the A330 in the new j class seat. they have been very quite of late.

They have been advertising it in SYD as of late, a mock-up was in the lounge for a week (this was about 3-4 weeks ago), then the same mock up was up outside the 40's gates (about a week ago). So id say it is on track for the 2H2015? (not 100% sure on the exact time frame) deadline that they had previously set as i doubt they would be advertising them if this was not the case.

VA FB said last week its startig this month and will be finished in August. I cant see all the refita being done that quickly especially if theyre only doing 1 at a time.
I wonder what theyll do with the old seats which are all only a few years old!

yeh its a bit of a waste with thoes j class seats wonder if other airlines with pick them up and put new covering on the seats

heard the same thing - june through to approx august / september
and the 777 somewhere between oct 2015 to march 2016 ( i think you will find thats when they are putting a hold on flying SYD-AUH around then , so they can get it done

They would certainly make for the best premium economy seat on a 777

Just noticed my flight on VA29 (SYD-AUH) has been cancelled and I've been booked on to an EY flight instead.

(Luckily it's the new A380 J product)
