The New Pier

I have 5 more visits to the Pier F in the coming months (so I'll see if the novelty begins to wear off eventually...), but it is by far my favourite OW F lounge. My only problem is that it is so cosy and the seats are so comfortable that I'm always afraid to fall asleep and miss my flight (especially connections)! So maybe when I'm tired I should go to the Wing instead...

Novelty wore off for me a while back. The menu posted above does not excite me at all.

Much prefer to be in the Wing First lounge and I love the western style buffet.

I personally can't get overexcited by the new Pier....menu is nice but not fantastic. No privacy for massages as you lie along side your fellow passengers. It is also relatively small cf say Qf F in Syd.

Only shoulder rubs or foot massages so I wouldn't have thought much privacy is needed. But it is pretty underwhelming compared to proper massages.

I had the Crab Meat Salad last weekend and I have to say I was really impressed by the presentation of the dish, for a moment I thought I was in a Michelin star restaurant:p

The crab meat was rolled in a cucumber strip and the walnuts were covered in a balsamic vinegar reduction. Very tasty!

We had this menu a few weeks back and I was pretty underwhelmed. The lounge had been so hyped up and I honestly contemplated retreating to the Pier J and their noodle bar instead. Previous menus had some great options but I felt this one was very western. I dont go to Hong Kong to eat a burger or lamb shanks (and I don't eat seafood).... seeing earlier menus in this thread makes me see why people have praised the dining room but I'm a bit bummed that this one was a bit uninspired.
I don't recall those being the desserts on offer, otherwise Id have certainly indulged.

I usually go straight for the seafood and fish and the octopus and cuttlefish were great. I agree with your point about the burgers...but the 4 loud Americans next to me all ordered it and were happy there was something "edible" on the menu...

I looked at the menu and was overwhelmed! I'd be happy with just the starters. But yes, I love seafood so pretty much everything on the menu appeals to me.

I feel like the menu we had had less options on it, but unfortunately I do not appear to have taken a photo. The Braesola was very good, but none of the mains were appealing.
