So disappointed I'm going to miss this, especially since Brad Pitt is making an appearance!:(
Oh, I can't keep up with the super quick morphing from Brad to Mick. Geez what a transformation.

Bummer. We'll catch you next time hopefully.

Table for 6 booked for 8pm.

Now what are the odds that goodonya will post following at 19:59 tomorrow - 'Oh just saw this thread - is it too late to add me to attendee list'?

50/50 with him posting at 23:00 tomorrow "Oh I just saw this and missed out"

Seems like he also doesn't read PMs. Tried to send message regarding another matter and didn't go through as inbox is full. He will probably get it just late enough when it's not relevant anymore :p

I will be attending.

What's the odds that Penegal will actually turn up :?:

We are still in Paihia on Thursday night, so count us out. :(

Back to Auckland and off to Euro on Friday night if anyone is around. :D

My son, daughter and two others had dinner at The Olive Tree last night. They were disappointed with the slow service, portion sizes and taste of the main courses. However, they loved the mousse as always.
I hope all of you have a better experience tomorrow night.

You sure they went to the right restaurant? The Olive Tree - 19 Park St, South Melbourne?

In dozens and dozens of visits over 25yr period I have never experienced anything like that - have had times where service was less than perfect when they were short staffed due to non attendance of wait staff - still never a prob to me if I have a glass of red in hand - but small portion sizes?

500g Scotch Fillet / Porterhouse - 700g T-Bone / 400g Eye Fillet - not sure how they can be small portions. But I will address that with Sonia tonight - did your son and daughter register their discontent on the night?

I was going to follow irv's lead and institute a unilateral ban on food photography tonight but I will let bc20 do her thing and post the pics for all to judge.

I'll totally be taking food photos...

In an [un]fortunate series of events gvdIAD's flight went mechanical so he is here another 24 hours and may join us tonight.

One of my mates may also tootle along, weather permitting.

Don't be afraid to bring this to the attention of the organising committee so they might advise restaurant of change of numbers!

I shall confirm when I know for sure, but that was also the purpose of this post.

I am not sure I can believe my eyes. Does this mean we will be exchanging one copper (gold tonight) for three gold? :)
