I guess to roll up/compress some bulky items from our Iceland trip but not sure.

I put chairs at the end of the curtain and put the curtains taut as a matter of course.

My NC headphones! One time, I arrived at the airport only to realise I left it on the couch and asked the driver to take me back to get them, much to his delight as I paid him 3 times the fare to the airport! In my recent trip, I checked that it’s in my bag more often than my passport!


...and me too! Do you also have a trick to block the lights from coming through both corners/ends of the curtains?

Only thing that comes to mind is a couple of plastic bags, big enough for shoes. Never know when things might get a bit dirty, and I can't stand the idea of my shoes being near my clean clothes (particularly underwear!!)...

For me my CPAP Machine & spare glasses plus, as I am an overweight male in his 60's, a tube of cream which if used in the right spot can relieve a lot of discomfort and pain. And from now on a bulldog clip!

Only thing that comes to mind is a couple of plastic bags, big enough for shoes. Never know when things might get a bit dirty, and I can't stand the idea of my shoes being near my clean clothes (particularly underwear!!)...

I have a large stash of those naughty plastic disposable supermarket bags accumulated over the years (that are now banned in most states) in the cupboard at home and wrap my shoes before departure and each time I repack my bag to move to the next destination. In the front section of the suitcase is always an extra three or four for wet bathers, dirty clothes or whatever else might eventuate along the way.

Besides the phone and charger and the charger adaptor then I usually carry a bunch of tissues, I can start sneezing after a few hours of travel but also good to wipe your hands or other areas or if you cut yourself.

I have always taken many plastic bags - everything gets wrapped in a plastic bag on the way out and on the way back.
Apart from anything else it keeps things dry if the case is left out in the wet, or if anything leaks. It also keeps security’s hands from touching my things as they just feel around.

A few cable ties, as well as my Swiss Army knife, and a pair of pliers that fold down similar to the knife, both with screwdrivers, bottle openers, nail files and mini scissors...

I use the disposable shower caps for my shoes in the suitcase. Stretch over the soles and pack.

For me it is tweezers, powerboard (with USB charger) and a sarong.

Another important item on my list is the little bottle of disinfectant. Very useful for wiping down the trays on planes and the remote controller and door handles in hotel rooms, not forgetting hands if the washroom is not easy to get to before meals. The one offered by MH in their J amenity kit is really handy as it’s small enough to fit in pockets even.

Back in the day, Iberia included a very good drawstring shoe bag in their J amenity kit. I haven't flown IB J for a long time, so I don't know if that is still the case. I have made constant use of those shoe bags ever since.

One of the very few ongoing really useful amenity pack items I've encountered.

Transpore 3M tape and Micropore tape (both tearable) are always in my kit! I can tape my SIM cards on the inside of my phone case after switching them (along with the SIM card remover), and I also use them to tape over those peeking holes in doors etc.

In the last 3 years, I've always made sure I also carry a tube of Hydralyte or other rehydration products. Someone always ends up with gastro in the group, and you can get extremely dehydrated in just 24 hours.
