The Pinot Noir & Grenache Thread

(if no email confirmation received then call them as there have been online ordering issues)

I unfortunately missed the $28 Domaine Michel Magnien Gevrey-Chambertin Les Seuvrees Vieilles Vignes 2009 whilst enjoying the beach, but when visiting Nicks for the first time in years to collect 2017 Duke's Vineyard Magpie Hill Reserve Riesling, after being shocked by its neat and organised post-renovation layout, to my delight found the last bottles of:
Besides these, Mount Mary 2015 and Bernhard Huber Alte Reben 2013 during the 20% off sale at PWS, my remaining recent pinot purchase was going to be:farr.jpg

However it was predictably an error with the 2013 sold out at $64.99, so I ended up with the 2013 By Farr Sangreal for the same price

edit: Just remembered that I also bought Diamond Valley Reserve 2006 from Boccaccio who have it in-store at 2-for-$60

2017 Yarra Valley seems so far on track to be at least as good as 2015 - some retailers have already sold out of Timo Mayer and Giant Steps have just been released

Vinomofo apparently reduced it from $69 to $64.90 to price match/beat United Cellars' $64.99

+1 for the Mike Press Pinot

2016 $9.82 @ United Cellars with HONEY

2008 $79 @ Winestyle - The Botanical

now $25 (not 2016)

Yarraloch 2013 Estate Pinot Noir

Lovely savoury Pinot, Burgundian style with nice bit of complexity coming out.
This was only $15 a bottle direct from the cellar door because of minimal label damage, most bottles there is virtually none. You should call them to place order as their website doesn't work.

Absolute bargain, highly recommend and would have happily paid full price.

I've since gone back for 6 more.

Thanks @qaz for the tip off on this one.

No worries, good to hear - unfortunately my first bottle did not impress as much, hopefully the rest are better

Wine Baron has 2015 By Farr RP (HH97, CM96(WF)) for $84, but this can be reduced down to $77.32 delivered by having My Wine Guy price match with a $30 voucher (note: only five 3pks available)

Not (yet) as cheap as the 2015 which was mentioned on Winefront after being posted here, MWG also has the 2016 Riorret Lusatia Park (TL97, HH95, JH94, CM(WF)93+, RD17.5/20) for $31.65, whilst the 2017 (CM(WF)95) is at AusCellardoor for $35.91 delivered after 10% off (pm me for code)

AusCellardoor as well have the 2014 Bream Creek (JH96, NS/HH95) at $31.41 - alternatively ask Dan's to beat Wine Sellers Direct's $32.99 at collection

Similar to the Riorret but cheaper this time, Cloudwine has Allies Assemblage 2017 (CM(WF)95) for $25 - when the 2015 scored the same on Winefront, the winery website sold out its initial allocation within a few hours, and then too the final release later that day
