These crus were the source of our highest-rated wines, all three rating 97 points. These are not only extremely impressive wines, but also strikingly different in character and style. The Château des Bachelards – Comtesse de Vazeilles Fleurie Le Clos 2018 is super-silky and refined the Domaine Anita Moulin-à-Vent La Rochelle 2019 concentrated and plush and the Yohan Lardy Moulin-à-Vent Vieilles Vignes de 1903 2019 enormously deep with a striking smoked bacon character.
For us this diversity is the sure sign of a maturing wine region and it was also clearly present in the eight wines wines that rated 96 points. For example, the incredibly floral expressiveness of the Château Thivin Côte-de-Brouilly Cuvée Zaccharie 2019 and the densely structured Jean-Marc Burgaud Morgon Côte du Py 2019 are both great reds unlike anything else on Planet Wine.
The twin great vintages of 2018 and 2019 showcase this beautifully. 2019 is probably the most consistently exciting vintage for Beaujolais since 1976, although we still have a soft spot for 2015. These wines have the classic lively acidity and vibrant aromas of the region’s reds from the indigenous gamay grape with lots of floral, spice and licorice notes. The 2018 vintage was the warmest growing season on record and mildew in June-July dramatically reduced crop levels. The best 2018s are powerful and concentrated with fine tannins and enough acidity to balance. Some vineyards experienced drought stress and/or were picked a bit too late resulting in atypically soft wines.

2020 Ochota Barrels Home Pinot Noir [Adelaide Hills]
The grapes for this wine are grown around the corner from Lost in a Forest, the wood-oven “wine lounge” the Ochotas opened in an old church in Uraidla in 2016. “It’s a tiny little block,” says Amber. “It’s owned by Taras’ GP, who offered us the fruit one year. Me and the kids and my mum and Taras’ dad pick it every year and jump in it and let it do its own thing. It’s made with lots of love.” And it’s exquisite: pale and ethereal, with delicate botanical aromatics that drift up from the glass, and a fine-boned, juicy, mouthwatering quality on the tongue. $120

1 left: 2020 Ochota Barrels Home Pinot Noir $130 @ DRNKS - free delivery to SYD, MEL, BNE, ADL, PER, CBR, HBA, NTL, WOL, BNK

Ten Minutes By Tractor Estate Pinot Noir 2018 $36.50 @ Coles after discounts in 4pk - ends tomorrow
@chatters on CellarTracker:
opens with struck match, sweet spice, strawberry under plums, slightly gamey notes and a touch of forest floor. Juicy, lovely, fleshy and fresh, touches of savoury spice joins plums, berries (especially strawberry) with slight drying talc textured tannins that play more of a support role, very slight extracted but still the right side of that. Nice.

Picardy Pinot Noir 2018 - RJ98, EL97, MB94+, CM(WF)93+, HH92, BW18.5 - $30.67 @ Wine Direct using gift cards via AmEx offer of $35 back from $150 spend (23% off)

Joseph Faiveley Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2019 $29.90 in 6pk @ Boccaccio
I haven't had much burgundy, though may be catching the bug now, but this is the best Bourgogne Rouge I've had yet - different from, but as good as, some of my favourite pinot noirs, including 2017 Lethbridge, Bay of Fires, Hoddles Creek

As with Beaujolais, 2019 also seems to be a year for Burgundy - Jeremy Holmes at d’Or to Door:
A word about Burgundy. Much of France experienced devastating frosts last week. We heard from Alexandrine Roy (Domaine Marc Roy), and she may not make a single bottle of red wine from 2021, such is the damage. 2019 is relatively small crop for many, but one of outstanding quality. With low and/or no yield crops coming through in the next couple of vintages, there will be serious pressure on supply and pricing. We suggest you load up on some 2019’s while you can.

Amazing effort with the post, so many delicious looking Pinots 😍

I can't find the Pinot in SA @ Coles, Picardy sounds nice but I don't have an AMEX to take advantage.

I may have to have a go at the Joseph Faiveley Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2019 👍👍

Unfortunately I think it's 2018 after my research, 2019 is 96JH.

2019/20 are 12.5%< 18 is 13.5%

However Boozebud constantly ships out different vintages it seems for different states. Wynn's Black label was 2018, but Sydney was receiving 2015 for quite a while.

currently $43 @ Laneway Liquor after 15% off applied in cart (free delivery with $99 spend) - price match @ Different Drop (note: $25 referrals end Thursday 1st July, reducing to $10 afterwards)

Any thoughts on the Pinot pack?

15% off red wine @ DITC (Diggin' In The Cellars) with REDWINE15 - free MEL delivery, minimum 2 bottles, excludes packs, ends 8am tomorrow:

2015 Mammoth Untouched Pinot Noir [Moutere Hills]
Michael Glover wanted to find out what would happen if he took top-quality, dry-grown, low-yielding pinot noir grapes and turned them into wine with as little “handling” as possible: no destemming, no additions, no plunging, no new oak, no fining, no filtration and so on, with the only input being the decisions of when to pick, when to press, and when to bottle. Six years later the result is a deliciously approachable, full-flavoured expression of pinot: round, generous, supple, long and savoury. $58

Stonier Windmill Vineyard Pinot Noir 2018 - JH96, HH94, D(SA)95 - $40.66 @ Cellar One after $20 referral - 3 left

First time posting to this thread (thanks @Mynameislucluc for the heads up).

No amazing deals from me to post yet - but I will keep my eyes peeled.

Just thought I'd share my favorite winery from Central Otago for some insight to the Pinot lovers here.

Recently visited their physical winery (third time) when the bubble was open for us people living in Victoria. I made the plunge and joined their wine club - Holy Terras, exciting!!!

I honestly can't plug this winery enough - some fantastic wines, especially their pinot. Jacksons Block & Slapjack Block are the pick for me! Some of the oldest vines in the region and some true OG Burgundian vines on original root stock 😲

Bought this today from VM broker -

Bendigo Hills - The Stone Cottage Pinot Noir 2016. Apparently its Rock Ferry 3rd Rock but relabelled due to something with rights or label clash in Australia...Anyway it was on pre arival so no doubt it’ll hit the in boxes soon

Anyway, I plunged in for 12 bottles which at about $20 per bottle minus a referal credit of $25 with free shipping will sort me out for my pinot scarcity.
