The Pinot Noir & Grenache Thread

Want to split 4 doz :p
48 of anything except for a suicide bomber is a stack but saying that a few of us remember back in the very long day driving all over Melbourne to plenty of Coles liquor stores to buy the red sashed Wynn's Coonawarra triple blender for $1.99 each. We were gross at least.

To be fair Mike Press wines are not that bad actually.

2 doz each between two, or 1 doz each between four is not as daunting as 4 doz for one.

I went off the standard rougey vinos and concentrated on the most difficult grape of all in the Spring that still is but ending shortly twenny twenny two. Ended up with about 15 variants and I have to say, none of them were bad. I still recall the Debortoli Pinot at about twelve bucks and as you read this I suddenly become a mind reader. Your thoughts are whatdya expect for a tenner but that's not the point. The Debortoli tasted like my mother in laws Cottees cordial. So in my recent indulgences I have really enjoyed some nice plonk and as I mentioned, none were bad.
Because in the wine game at least according to me, wine is binary. So the feminine pinot I had two weeks ago could actually be a bearded bear looking for a bit of warmth.
Is good.
Not bad.

Is the reserve pinot any good? Have a few bottles but never actually tried it. Love the deer farm though so trying to work out what to buy to get the cheaper price. Was thinking heemskerk and a reserve pinot as drinking mostly bubbles lately.
