The Qantas Club guest pass

All of those are very dated (the logo is 4+yrs old) (from when you got ten a year as a paid QC member - they were sealed in a little pack). Latter versions had a hololgram and a date.

I seem to remember when Qantas added the hologram and date they stopped accepting the other ones, so as samh says useful to save, not so useful to use!

Are these cards any good?...
No!

They are "guest passes", a relic from back in the days when a QFF member with lounge access privileges (WP/SG/QP) needed to surrender one to have a guest attend a lounge with them.

10 per year were provided - partner QP received 5.

FWIW, those are quite old - the blue is from mid 90's and was replaced by the white. The undated white ones disappeared around the turn of the century.

I have 50 or 60 of these still.

Posted on a wing and a prayer ...

Oh well, now I know. I have a heap of each, plus one of Ansett ones, also.

Shame cards are printed on both sides; without that and the deep blue background on one, I would have been able to keep them in my shirt pocket for taking quick notes.

They do come in handy from time to time... I was at PEK Airport, and we had too many guests. I proffered one of these passes (it was then a contract lounge - not sure if it still is), and after a few looks and muttering to colleagues, they let us in!

I have a current white complimentary invitation (expired end June 1012) that I won't use if some-one needs one - just PM me and I can post it.
