The Stocard App

No message on my android app and I use Stocard nearly everyday.

Same here - I'm an Android user who uses Stocard every day, I have not received any notification about Stocard being shut down. Is it possible that maybe Klarna might shut down Stocard on iOS before Android or vice versa? Seems like the kind of thing you would want to warn your customers about because if Klarna say they are going to migrate one or both of iOS and Andriod over and they screw up the execution, then they are going to lose all their customer base in one swoop, people will just uninstall.

Just tried an experiment, I have Stocard on an Android phone already and installed Klarna app on the same Andriod phone - only 6 of the 40+ loyalty cards I have made it into Klarna App so that's an epic fail right there if that's their idea of a successful migration. Edit: Actually scratch that, of the 6 that did make it none of them came over with barcodes (pretty much the only reason for the App to exist) so that's a 0% success rate for the Klarna IT team. Judging by the feedback in the Play Store I am not alone in this so looks like they have scored an "own goal" here.

I will uninstall Klarna now and start looking at other options in case they do pull the plug on Stocard without warning.

Looking like the last gasp of the BNPL venture capital beanbag "fail fast and fix it when you break it" 'bros who have brought the Stocard business.

Maybe it's just a European thing for where Klarna is based and has its other services,
And just a handful of people locally are seeing the message

Yeah, I just realized that it might be a geographically staged rollout, in which case if they stuff it up they can learn or someone else can roll out a better app.

What were the drawbacks of Google Wallet again? Was it not being able to share other family members' cards? Or is it just a privacy Google thing that people were concerned about?

Both, but not able to share cards with others is the biggest disadvantage for me. I want a centralised location to store my cards, and to share them, everyone using the same one single source of truth.

I have 'Stocard will shut down in 13 days' message on the app (running ios). Stocard is moving to the Klarna app and it claims it can migrate my cards to the Klarna app in less than 2 mins. I have received no email advice.
When I posted this I was in Spain. Now that I am back, no message and Stocard working normally.

I don't get any messages but then I'm not logged in. I wonder if that makes a difference
