When we rode around part of the Canning River estuary this morning the tide was as low as I have ever seen it. This gave a good opportunity to see exactly the 'convict fence' built in the 1860's in much more detail than normal. It was intended to protect a channel dug through the mud and sand to allow barges to use the river. The timber used for the stakes was jarrah. It was basically a failure.

The stumps of wood that form a line through the Canning River are an unusual relic of Perth's earliest industrial heritage and convict labour.

Is loaded? Yesterday it was not on QF59 IFE. It was in QF418 to Sydney. And I had watched halfway hoping to finish in the next leg

It is on this flight. I've seen it before and that's three hours of my life I won't get back. Could have easily been condensed to a 90 minute film.
