The view from my "office"

I’ve been on a lot of trains in Switzerland in the last couple of years and I think the Bernina is one of the best followed by the Glacier express

safe travels home
Cheers. Yeah we have done them both a few days at various different times of the year to see if the scenery alters much and it’s stunning all year round. This time we stayed at the Radisson Zurich airport and got up bright and early in the morning and jumped on the Bernina at Chur and went down to Tirano. We had a couple of hours in Tirano and found a pretty nice restaurant and then jumped back on the Bernina and went back to Chur and stayed overnight. Slowly making our way back to Geneva via regular trains where we have AF award seats in J GVA-CDG-DXB. Haven’t flown long haul AF for years but liked the look of their newish business suites so going to try them out

I did the Bernina on Christmas day a couple of years ago and stayed in Chur. I had a small family run hotel and although my room wasn't huge it was spotless and lovely

I'm going to try to get to Schilthorn tomorrow but the weather isn't looking promising so will just see how I go

Ity is very definitely later than predicted this year. Naturally I had been reading a few sakura prediction sites before this trip and they all said it would be early. So they were all wrong. We even saw the last cherry blossoms in Taiwan and Okinawa.
Of course several mentioned they would be early due to global warming.
