The view from my "office"

A dredge of some sort?

Not just any dredge - this was a 50m+ ship and it was off Surfers Paradise SLSC (correcting the sandbar and channel that existed there along with the sweeps and rips that were being produced daily). Should mean a better wave and less risks for swimmers (plus less work for the lifesavers).

I take it Ric that you are a keen fisher person. The question is, do you catch anything? is your river companion who I think it is?

Yes, besides catching colds, we do catch fish! Mostly catch and release except 1 or 2 for the dinner table. Yes, the fine gentleman is who you think he is but definitely not my fishing companion! His bodyguards will make sure of it!! He was fishing on the same river.

Matso's Brewery, Broome 30 hours after finishing 3 weeks on the Canning Stock Route at Halls Creek (an EPIC journey, BTW).

<Narrows eyes> .. is that a Fred Perry (green - only) salad?

No - green beans and thinly sliced radish with an excellent dressing added to the cos lettuce. It really was an excellent meal on a warm, still evening in sub-tropical Broome. Beginning the wandering trek south tomorrow to get to PER by Friday next week.

Yay JohnM! You are alive. I will be up your way-ish in 24 hours.

Yep, survived, Jess. The CSR is pressure on man and machine, I can assure you! Hate to say it, as I think you may have a Pajero, but the tag-along leader - a 12+ CSR trip veteran - will not accept clients with Pajeros, LandRovers or Jeeps. A breakdown on the CSR is terminal - as I saw several times...

On track to catch up early next week.

Interesting. I am now in a Triton, so a change of sorts.
