The view from my "office"

I had the opportunity to take QF10 as a domestic flight last week and upgraded myself to J from the client's original Y booking. Superb views from 1K and although no wifi, I managed to get some work done as I tucked into the menu and some superb G&Ts!

So if you arrived at Gate3 in the early afternoon and your bags didn't show up on the carousel this is what happened to them. She said it took some time for the fellow to retrieve them from the tarmac.

Although I heard a visitor from the US pronounce it as Hob-art.

It should be pronounced 'Hobbet', as that's how the Lords Hobart, up to the present day, pronounce their name.

In the meantime, here's Maria island, made extra special this evening by three separate choruses of kookaburras going off in the background. Absolutely magical ( plus the perfectly still evening and mild temperature).

Any yachties amongst us? How about these extravagant masts on the yacht in my Hobart harbour office ( Other vessels are Antarctic ones).

Another look at her. Not your average Sydney-Hobart yacht!

I remember my first time out on a 30 footer, hauling sails up and down manually. No way you could that on this yacht.

I was lying on a deckchair on the beach in Santorini when I saw what I first thought was perhaps the Flying Dutchman on the horizon.

Not sure it would by a Sydney-Hobart competitor either.

Windstar maybe. If so, it is a unique cruise line.

Yes. Windsurf.
