The view from my "office"

I love Helsinki, must try to come back, can’t believe I was first here 43 years ago. First time using an iPad, so things may stuff up a bit. )

Berlin next, then Goerlitz.

We really enjoyed our couple of days in Helsinki - though I must admit I liked it better in the, relative, warmth and blue skies of June compared to grey May. I am looking forward to any report on Goerlitz as it may well be on our path in 2020 - we will definitely be in Berlin.

View from our office in the Untermarkt in Goerlitz, we are staying at the Hotel Borse as per the photo, but we are across the square in an annex of the hotel. The place is packed, public holiday today. More photos later.

Went to Snug Harbour Botanic Gardens on Staten Island. Was sitting relatively peacefully having a snack listening to birds singing in the rustling trees, (something you don’t hear much of in NYC). Then, a troupe of Chinese ladies very nicely dressed turned up and turned on very loud Chinese music and after their picnic, started to do some sort of grapevine dance. Was a bit of a floorshow and after about a 45 minutes they left with nary an explanation, although I did try to ask. At first I thought it was like the maids day off in Hong Kong but I don’t think it was. Plus, a few photos of pretty flowers, peonies and poppies etc.

I can’t edit my prev duplicate photos as it just keep crashing. Sorry.

I've gone into the post but somehow although you have only one set of images there, it's doubling up. May be due to initially posting all as thumbnail and then changing to full screen. If in doubt, report your own post adn we can look at it. I don't want to delete the photos, in case the doubles disappear to nothing (you spent enough time an dbandwith to get them up).

Looks spectacular and a tad cold. Hope you are well rugged up. No wind to buffet you around?
It was so hot! We took off some of our warm gear!

The dogs were beautiful. Clearly very well cared for and loved. And they love being petted. As soon as you pat them they just curl into your hand. I picked up the puppy after someone else had handed him over and the first thing he she did was lick my face. Which of course raised a laugh and MrP managed to grab a photo. And they just love running! I was a little concerned about exploitation but these dogs are clearly well loved and love people and running.

EDIT: Thank you Support and QF WP, for fixing up the post.
