Mr LtL went but I stayed at the lodge (we stayed at Inketerra). As it was the wind came up and they had to battle to row back in. He said is was a great experience though.

re: The view from my "office"

We had the pleasure of a group of CC with us on our Silversea cruise of the Arctic. Considering the cheapest fare for their tour was $28,0000 pp economy airfare and cheapest cabin, I was thinking maybe 20 people but no.....there were 43 of them - almost half the ship! Some had done 7 or 8 tours with CC before. You know how sometimes you think that it might be a good idea, we quickly saw it was not! It did confirm our resolve that CC was not an option for us but we did have a wonderful cruise. Their tour leader seemed to be less than useless but their young doctor was OK. The only downside was that the ship seemed to be full of Australians when one of the joys of travel for us is to meet lots of other nationalities.

Absolutely agree love_the_life.Fortunately when we were on a Silverseas cruise with a CC group it was around the Black Sea and they had their own tours.Though in October we are again with a CC group cruising Cuba.

Wow looks fancy Cruiser. I assume its First Class. How much a ticket cost for this cabin?
RMB1404 (AUD291) for 3hr 49min journey - lunch included if you are brave enough to try it - I don't - one bout of gastro from onboard food plenty for me.

But in typical Chinese style where nothing makes sense this is indeed Business Class - 2nd Class cheapest / lowest - then First Class then Business Class top tier.

They have had 1st/2nd classes on trains forever so when they added the new top tier on CRH trains they just could not confuse populous by slating business class in between.
