Lunch at Chez Vrony - high above Zermatt village but rated #1 restaurant - big hike from Riffelalp to get here - then back to the village.

We had eating ( shashlik by the metre):





We had drinking ( at LAST a decent Balkan red):



We had dancing:





But most importantly, we had the Bulgarian, all nations, all comers, 8 ball championship, 2019 ... Won by ...

When friends come to visit and the kids need some exercise, take them to see Brisbane:

Then it’s time to do a tour of Brisbane via train and CityCat:

A building outside Southbank train station cleverly using metal squares and the wind to create patterns. This was just the side, the full view is better. The Emporium Hotel is in the building and the squares hide the car park levels.

After lunch down at Bulimba, heading back gave different photos with a dropping sun



The Kangaroo Point Cliffs - missed a wedding with the bridesmaids in red long dresses



Our favourite team and we had our Lions caps on as well, seemed apt to be ferried along by it.



Our group hanging around the Southbank pool - bit chilly for a swim but some crazy kids were in.

A quick trip to Brissy to catch up with some mates and watch some local rugby. Easts Tigers came from behind to beat the North Brisbane Eagles. Loving the warm winter weather - validates the decision we made 5 years ago to retire to the Sunny Coast in about 5 years time.

Well it is summer after all. Which means that there are a couple of breaks between the showers. Looks impressive.

The church at the monastery at Gračanica, Kosovo. Small but breathtaking, with frescoes from 1320s stunningly preserved, with an amazing depiction of the 'Last Judgement'.

@JohnM - we very nearly crossed paths! I landed in Cancun on the 5th but didn’t get to Playa Del Carmen until the 8th.

Loved seeing the pics of Hotel Nacionale - I had a memorable stay there, and also loved Trinidad. And the lobster - so good!
