The view from my "office"

Just back from visiting my daughter in Mandurah... possibly the equivalent town to Bournemouth, UK as a retirement magnet.

I was a risk of being run over by multiple gopher riders, hindered getting out of cafes by the zimmer frames in the walkways and noticed the town was practically deserted by 8pm and restaurants were closing then.

Very pretty area near the canals, but I may have to rethink selling and retiring here to SILVER city. F818B340-383D-471E-B69B-596F467CF55B.jpeg32D0D88B-02BD-4802-A67F-F8EB681396EB.jpeg

That looks way too close irv !!! Everything OK ??

All is OK. We have been away & missed most of the drama-wind yesterday arvo sent most of the action in another direction & there doesn't seem to have been any loss of houses/buildings in the new area. Certainly seems there has been a large scale of firefighting.
In a different fire the Oxley Highway that links to the inland has been closed for a few days-made for a long trip home yesterday

That is Cronulla Beach.

It is not South Cronulla. that is somewhere else....

Fairly sure they have not changed the sign on 'my' Surf Club.

Has always been north or south to me since I first ventured there in 1962. But accept it is a colloquial use rather than geographical names board compliant. :)
