Just love Tawny Frogmouths,.
I rescued a chick a few years back .
He kept falling and I picked him up and set him on a branch for mum to feed him.
Eventually they were away, but he came back a few times top say thanks.. stuff like that makes life nicer….
There is a pic of him on the birds of a feather thread

When I was young, my brother had a tawny as a pet - well as close as you could have a wild bird as a pet, It would ride around on his shoulder all the time and was very protective of him. They are gorgeous birds.

Looks lovely and there I was stuck at work (much easier to go in than work from home). Never mind, at least I am playing my part in moving some much needed funding to providers to continue services to the aged. It's actually quite fulfilling.

My childhood house backed onto Bannister Creek. I remember building a 'bridge' over the river and we had a tree house that our next door neighbour (who was a builder) helped us build! We used to get a lot of snakes in our backyard, but fortunately our back yard was split over 4 levels so they generally didn't come up past the bottom one. Once or twice we had one go up a level and saunter around the pool though.

In keeping with your theme, here is one from my home office recently.IMG_1824.JPG

Do you have frogs in those rocks in the background?

With the relaxation of the W.A. gathering restrictions my grand-kids wanted to come over and visit us. Some nice person had placed a number of stuffed animals in trees near us and as it was another PERfect :p day we took them on a Bear Hunt.

This bike path and copse of trees is about 100 metres from our front door.

I thought I saw a p u s s y cat! (Edit: I keep writing 'p u s s y cat', without the spaces but the system continually changes it to 'cat cat' A hyperactive censorship function perhaps? Mrs Slocombe would have been horrified)
