Do I recall a hydrofoil /catamaran that had a short and not so brilliant career between Melbourne and Tassie? I'm thinking it was also known as the 'Spewcat"? whatever happened to it?

It was taken off the run after a summer season or two and sold. It’s limitation was that it couldn’t go out with seas over a certain size, so it wasn’t totally reliable. It was good for a quick zoom across the Strait though.

I took it once and it got pretty rough ... crew said if those seas were predicted, they wouldn’t have left!

Adelaide a glorious 32 today but weekend looking bleak. We need more rain judging from the lawns here, neither of which is watered but one looks so much greener. Supposedly going to be a less dry/hot summer this year. Excellent.

It is disgusting in Adelaide right now. But earlier today we ventured onto our marina to look back at our "new" abode next year. Ours is the last high rise apartment (closest to the Marina) block and on the middle level. When we have our boat it will be living in the berth furthest away from here. We can see it from all sliding doors. Nice and protected. Ordered the dry dock the other day. So no need for antifoul treatment.
