HKG office for a few hours.


Much nicer than the CGK red eye office that was subbed from lie-flat to regional cough two weeks out!

Star have been fantastic

I have zero status and managed to get an empty row one on most flights. The business lounge near gate A26 at FRA is best otherwise all J lounges were very pleasant so not really necessary to have status if can find reasonable fares.

On a short haul from Malta to Athens I got a pre departure drink and a decent meal

On a 20 minute hop from the islands to Greece I got a great turkey salad roll, museli bar and two beers


The below are from Swiss and LH on short hops. The service on Swiss was far better than LH

I got unnecessary attitude from FA on LH and lacklustre service on other LH flights. I think the LH FA's think their status is "extra-captain".

I wasn’t in the actual F lounge, but the check-in lounge. I did ask the staff if the slight acetone smell was all right, and they were keen to see the blue shade when on my fingers. Painting toenails in any lounge would definitely be unacceptable! Now, where’s the foot stool?

Todays office with very light loadings ex FRA



My original seat was unserviceable so profuslely apologised putting me in 2K but can choose from any seat.

FRA lounge was very pleasant and almost entirely deserted pre-flight.

Haha that’s actually how they seemed to prepare the seats

No Pringles but had garlic bread on this sector!

On transit, there was someone with my name waiting at aerobridge to take me to B gates lounge which was appreciated.

Great staff in B gates lounge! Made a custom drink and my shoes are looking shiny again.

I get to the MEL F lounge a few times thanks to QF9, but visits to QF's flagship lounge in SYD are way too rare for this PER based traveller whose work travel is mostly domestic. Back for the first time post covid, fantastic place to watch the sun rise over Sydney while enjoying a champagne breakfast.

Plan on being in Jimbaran Bay end of August. Heard that Bali is still recovering, vendor wise, from Covid as people went back to their villages. How are you finding it? Planning on hitting the beach barbies and enjoying the bbq corn cobs dipped in chilli oil.

What's Covid? Apart from a few people wearing masks everything is in full swing. The BBQ seafood is fantastic.
