The view from my "office"

On Thursday night we arrived 15 minutes early which meant we arrived at the CP lounge 15 minutes before evening drinks finished. So able to have 2 glasses of wine each plus a couple of slices of pizza and some snacks.
While we doing this the lounge manager was checking us in. Only one other couple there. So a view of the lounge. Changi.

Actually the War Games are from July 12th July for the Air Force.

Then in August for combined exercise.
The Singapore Air Force had just started a 3 month program of training with the RAAF.

Possibly the 1 USAF A330 might have been there re supplying the US Marine base there.

And I think Sir Peter was there to give a speech.

I believe the valiant Canadians are due to take a beach.…..

Reminds me of their successful efforts at Juno.

Never underestimate the Canadians.

Today I walked a little of the old highway between Kyoto and Edo (now Tokyo). I got a lot of information from this article though the language might cause offence to some.

I came across quite a few of the places mentioned in the article. First a picture of Kyu Tokaido street which is the old historic highway.

But I found the old shoe shop mentioned. Maruyama shoes which began in 1865. The 6th generation now runs the shop and they still hand made shoes.
