My multilingual butcher bird friend dropped by the office again today to have a chat.We get on very well.

Is that a Pied Butcher Bird? They have the most beautiful voice.

It is indeed a Pied Butcher bird.and they do have a reputation as probably Australia's best songbird.This fellow will come and talk with me for 20-30 minutes.Sometimes he brings along an immature bird as well.Every few months about a dozen will come and sit in this frangipani and perform as a choir.They often sing in rounds and nearly always accompanied by movement.Absolutely delightful.

My office tonight is taking me from BNE ato SYD. Just prior to departure Retro Roo pulled into the next gate.

The young lady serving me tonight is efficient and appropriately friendly.

Cuteness alert!

Day old loggerhead turtles being cared for in Brisbane.



These photos don’t give an indication of scale, but their shell is about the size of a 50 cent coin.

All up these turtles are less than half the size of an iPhone.
