Easterlies bring rain to eastern Tas and easterly swells, which brings the surfers in. This off the point where I live:

What piddling little waves. We make them bigger on the Gold and Sunshine coasts. Particularly in the last week with a cyclone tracking down the coast off shore with the usual higher tides at this time of year. Here are a couple of videos. In the first even the dolphins enjoyed the waves.

Like me - "chill" . About 18 degrees off the east coast. Might get to 19 in February. My outside spa is at 37 degrees

Well, to be fair, there is Maria Island in the way, 5 km or so offshore; but you can keep the bleed'n cyclone!
