The Virgin Australia Newbie Questions Thread

If your status is on your BP then either a physical card or your app should do.
It usually is on the bp right, even if I’m only pilot gold and have only been bumped a day or two prior?

Couldn't find an existing thread that talks about change fees for international reward bookings so here's my question - I've booked an international business reward seat via VFF (SQ) and want to add another leg onto the trip so that it's on the same PNR.

I assume that the only way to do this is to call up, as there's no way of doing a multi-city international rewards booking online via the VFF portal / you can only book one leg at a time.

According to the below link, it seems like that there will be a $70 charge for this:

Would that be correct? TIA.

Dont think they will be able to put them onto the same PNR, you can give a call and try.

Once you are in the airport the SQ staff will be able to combine them and check your luggage through to the end though (assuming <24h layover)

Thankyou, the layover will be >24hrs.

The main reason for me asking is that I'd prefer them to be on the same PNR just in case I need to cancel - it would then be 1 x $60 cancellation / change fee instead of 2x.

This is one thing that QFF has over VFF - the ability to do multi-city international rewards bookings!

Question on the platinum upgrade certificates or whatever they are.

Do you have to fly on them before they expire. or simply book a flight before they expire? So for example if plat status ends 28 Feb, do you have to fly and use the uograde by 28 feb, or can I book a flight for March 10 and apply the upgrade to that flight?

When is your review date?

Upgrades will expire if not redeemed before the Platinum member’s next Review Date. Travel dates for Upgrades aren’t required to be within the current Benefit Period. Platinum members on Membership Pause can still redeem Upgrades prior to their expiry.

Ah, perfect. I wasnt sure if they had to be applied, or used, by the end of the benefit date. That link you’ve posted clears it up. Just have to apply it before expiry :)
