Great photos Paddy.
Did you take a tour from Paris or did you go by yourselves.
We will be in Paris in July and Monet's Garden is on my list.

All independent travel in France using a rental car.
I believe there is a train you can take to near Giverny as well, although most people just take a tour from Paris, often with Versailles as part of the day

Days 5 - 12 Les Ages, St Crepin-de-Richmont, Dordogne (SW of France)

Just finished spending a terrific week doing a Photographic Workshop in the SW of France with French Photographic Holidays (mods: hope the free plug is OK)
Run by Paul and Pam Edmunds it is a great week of some learning and some visiting the local towns and villages... sightseeing in a part of France we hadn't been to before.

Les Ages is a tiny hamlet, population 18  but I've attached some photos from our Wednesday excursion to the market at Perigueux. Pretty much the same as all markets in France, there was a great variety of local food specialities, the setting was beautiful, and it was a balmy 32 deg :).

Ooh love the local French markets!.......can't wait to visit as many as I can. Produce is so fresh and the venders are fun.
Enjoying your journey.....can't wait for mine.
