Third Test, Australia v India, Gabba

So the Chappell brothers had a sister or ?
I ask cause one of my long lost friends told me his FIL is Ian
Only brothers. But that's not the answer or maybe not the question to ask. Ian had a daughter ...... I don't know any more.

Don’t know but I’ll ask.

He came over to my place last night and we had a beer together. It’s one degree of separation. His parents also lived in the same complex in Bardon as me (but years apart). Met his girlfriend last night, she’s lovely (rotten luck for my daughter because I’d have tried to set them up).

Then found out that my daughter has been following him on Insta (and vice versa) as they have 80 friends the same. This is a really freaky coincidence.

Long session this. Another wicket would be nice. That follow-on target isn't far off now. And with Hazlewood out I wonder if it would be enforced.

Meanwhile in other exciting news, NZ have just defeated England by 423 runs. Hopefully England stay in the same vein for 2025

Highlights:
Santner 76, 3/7, 49 and 4/85
Will Young 42 & 60
Williamson 44 & 156

At least this might divert some attention from the annual Sydney bashing that comes with the rain that seems to follow the SCG Test around these past few years. Then again, that's a couple of weeks away. Everyone will have forgotten.

It's frustrating that Australia batted at all yesterday.

From cricinfo:
1.42pm The covers are still on. The ground staff are still standing around.
1.45pm The pegs are coming out and the covers are about to be removed. There was a far bit of rain. They have to sweep some water off the covers.
1.50pm Stumps are in. Covers are being folded up. Gnasher is the grim rain reaper though: "There's a bit of a line of showers now bubbling up off the coast."
The umpires will inspect the ground again at 2pm. The large cover has been pulled off. The water-sopper is being used on the side of the square.

I think the answer is four brothers...
Yes I didn’t stipulate a number and that’s irrelevant anyway. Having a sister would not make the old friend having Chappell as FIL. Marrying Chappells DAUGHTER would.

At least they have an hour's play but of course then they must take the tea interval at 1630 local time!
