Hi there I’m flying MEL - SIN - LHR but have a 30 hour transit in Singapore due to flight changes. Has anyone recently experienced if SIA will through check in the bags to LHR even though the transit is more than 24 hours? Or will I have to clear customs, collect bags, put them in storage and then re check in the next day, clear customs again and reboard? I was looking at potentially doing a day trip to another country in the during the transit. Thanks in advance for the advice

Even if it’s 30 hours? I saw on some threads they’ve said 24 hours. Anyone have recent experience or can find the policy online?
From what I remember the limit is 24 hours, anything over that is considered a stopover and not transit. Most likely you'll need to collect your bags but if you want to be sure just call up Singapore to find out.
