Tick Insurance sold by Insureandgo

Another new poster - comes on and has a rant and hasn't been back since
Left the building perhaps? Patience Grasshopper.

Although, OP did not seem to be asking for our input, more about giving a warning with (abridged) experience with Tick.

I would usually agree with you on this comment @BAM1748, but my recent experience trying to get cover for a pre-existing chronic leukaemia that is in remission was very revealing. In the end I got cover at a very fair price from Easy Travel Insuarnce, recommended by the Insurance Council for this type of insurance. They have good on line reviews (if you can believe them). They are a reseller for Covermore. I had tried Covermore directly and they would not insure me. I find this very odd, but there you go.

Having a specialty need certainly means specialty supply. Covermore is reselling Zurich products and Zurich have a broad spectrum of offerings, so likely would have been Zurich agreeing to your policy which is not available to Covermore.

Although the policy pds I received says the cover is provided by Covermore….
Anyway, just happy to be able to get cover!

Well, it only excludes treatment arising from the pre-existing condition. The rest of the policy would remain active. So crossing the road and injured you’d be covered.

Same with other policies re pre-existing. But the 5 years is quite hefty!
I was just a prisoner in a bali hospital because of those stupid people. I have a lawyer if you need help to get your money back we should all do it together. Insurance do not operate how they do its very stressful when you are sick. Contact me on instagram same name let's stop them before oeople die from their ludicrous behaviour.

It sounds a very difficult situation but asking for things like Tickets and proof of expenses is surely appropriate. Most claims will be refused at first instance so many give up at that point and Insurance companies rely on that but you've got to provide them with all sorts of information. And of course it's relevant to know what the claim was for and every detail relevant to that claim. We don't know any of that to comment further.
