Exactly right. 1a and 1b boarding passes at priority check in. Then went to lounge. Then at gate the machine made the error noise and they said needed to reprint boarding passes. Asked if seat had changed and they said no - but on looking at new pass - they had! Was a big line in standard boarding queue so didn't wanna make things any trickier for the gate ggirls.

Asked on plane why seat was changed and was told someone must hve booked business. But seats were empty through flight

oh and weirdly - I didn't pre allocate 1a and 1b - those seats were automatically selected as default when I booked

May be the simple fact that there was a late sub on your operating plane.

Must have been a late change as if there was business seating, there is no seat 1B, thus you had to be moved. I had the reverse happen on the weekend, 3A to 1C when boarding - score :)
