As others have commented... I do like the passport wallet. A very nice touch from Velocity. The Card is a bit naff design wise but does the job.

I got the 'you're a bit tarnished and not worth platinum any more... Welcome to gold' email too on that day. Not really surprising. Zero DJ flights in the last year.

Would I be correct in assuming your comment suggests you received it on the 10/9, or are you still waiting? (2 weeks for the pack mail out is not that common IME. Usually closer to 4 weeks seems to be the norm).

I picked it up at the mailbox 18/9. It hadn't arrived by 10/9 when I'd last checked my mailbox immediately before going to Brisvegas. So it arrived sometime between 11 - 18/9 but the letter in the pack was dated 5/9.

OK thanks. Hopefully that's a good indication that they are getting a bit better.........not much, but at least it's not going the other way!

I am, so as a data point I received my new Plat card etc on the 17th. I'm based in Melbourne and it was sent from somewhere in Vic.

No. I was a contented silver with paid lounge subscription until the change from $ based status to zone based status, then managed scummy gold which put me on the top tier elite level for oh, 1 week or so before the introduction of VA-WP , then I made VA-WP in March this year (I think) and then requaled VA-WP by May this year. Currently sitting on about 2500 SC, in no small way thanks to a) family pooling; and b) VA Sabre stuff-ups! .

My data point is far from technical. My experience + VFF evidence + dash of grizzling = gospel truth! Works for me :mrgreen:

My review date is 25/08 and I am a "foundation member" being WP from the day it was launched. Not anymore though.

Only 260 SCs earned thsi year...I would have maintained Plat but I pooled my SCs to my mother and +1 so they both could maintain Gold and have lounge access etc:shock:. Would a true frequent flyer do that??

Can confirm this is a problem, accessing SQ Gold Lounge in SIN on Monday resulted in an argument over access with an expired WP card. Eventually was allowed access, but really shouldn't have to fight this out, had re qualified in June, with a 6/9 expiry. What's more, even if I hadn't re qualified I would have been Gold, and still had access. The lounge is so poor it wasn't even worth it.
