Time to transfer points to VS

I knew it was all going too smoothly for an Amex-related thread!

What are you going to do about the seats? Ring and try and hold?

Parents are going to book paid PE on QF or BA. I might ask them if the tickets are refundable and try again when it is all sorted...

Worst case - I end up with 360K points sitting in the VS account for a future trip... I didn't exactly earn these points through BIS travel or $300K of spend now did I

Fracking Amex! My registration of VS was rejected due to some discrpeancy and although my points were taken from the account they wont be deposited in my VS account and will be returned to Amex in 5 working days...

My partner had a similar issue. Did you verify the Ff number first? Ie with AMEX you need to put the number in as verification, wait for it to be approved and then do the transfer.

If you just transfer then this happens. (or at least it did with my other half)

Took 3 weeks for them to eventually resolve.

I took a bit of a punt... I transferred whilst it was still pending - mea culpa. However I had done this with SPG and it had worked fine so I rashly made the assumption that it would work for VS - my mistake...

Yes - I had the same issue.

Once it is "confirmed" transfers usually happen overnight

Thanks - I shall chat to my parents tonight (mum is here due to early baby and dad is in Cyprus waiting to get their original flights here) and see whether they can book PE but cancellable... cancellable for no cost that is
