I have had experience with the 24 hour rule, where I booked a few FLEX Y's in the month of April, May, Aug, Sep 2020. This was the time when the QF released DSC for QBR bookings ... I had booked a Flex Y, I realised that I need to book a different date, so called up CC and I told the agent on the phone that I booked a Flex Y last evening but I need to cancel it and book another ticket, but this time as QBR so that I can use the DSC .. the agent said "oh yes, it's not 24 hours yet, so you can change/cancel without any fee"for those things, but I see references elsewhere to a "24 hour from booking" free cancellation policy.
