Hi,
In May I fly premium economy Auckland to Johannesburg return with Cathay. And at this stage, have assigned my Qantas FF number to the flights.
On my return, I have a longer stopover in Hong Kong, how can I access one of the Cathay lounges?

My understanding is that signing up, and with a USD$100 payment to the Marco Polo Club is still not going to be enough. I would need 200 club points?
I may be able to access Asia Miles from family.

Just wanting to make the stopover as pleasant as possible, hoping an expert might offer some good advice.
Thanks
G

Being a Marco Polo member won't get you lounge access.

Your best bet for the lounge is to either pay for access (Plaza Premium Lounges) or get yourself a Priority Pass card (which can be used in AKL prior to departure too!). None of these, however, will grant you Cathay Pacific lounge access.

However, Hong Kong is a wonderful country with a lot to see and do. Should time permit, I highly recommend leaving the airport, jumping on the train and heading into Central.
