It is a rare hotel that does this - the only place I have experienced this was in the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong.Just checking if anyone knows of any Tokyo/ Osaka hotels that serves Champagne in their club/ executive lounge?
Note a bad option, will look into it. I know the Ritz Carlton Singapore does a beautiful champagne in thier club lounge but lost when it comes to JapanAnother option is to select a hotel that has a really wonderful and atmospheric bar, and Tokyo has that in spades.
These are often in elevated positions and are wonderful for people watching or enjoying the views of the city below
The Palace Hotel or the Conrad are a couple of nice ones
Lounge Bar Privé - Intimate Dining & Bar | Palace Hotel Tokyo
Located on the sixth floor of Palace Hotel Tokyo, Lounge Bar Privé offers a chic, intimate perch from which to take in views of the Imperial Palace gardens and the best afternoon tea in Tokyo.en.palacehoteltokyo.com
Note the famous New York Bar at the Park Hyatt Tokyo (of Lost in Translation Fame) is closing for a year-long renovation next month.

I saw that the ANA intercontinental has champagne so might book thatWell the Club Intercontinental at the IC Yokohama Grand has Veuve.
Well seeing the IC Yokohama Grand is considered the worst IC in Tokyo by most I guess all the Intercontinental clubs in Tokyo would feature champagne. Staying here because it was way cheaper than the others. Sub $A250.I saw that the ANA intercontinental has champagne so might book that
Does the business class lounge serve champagne?Airport JAL lounge.
How far was the travel to central tokyo?Well seeing the IC Yokohama Grand is considered the worst IC in Tokyo by most I guess all the Intercontinental clubs in Tokyo would feature champagne. Staying here because it was way cheaper than the others. Sub $A250.
Avoid the IC at Yokohama - its very old and needs a major refurb.I saw that the ANA intercontinental has champagne so might book that

I was looking into staying at the Mercure Yokosuga looks great from the picture the harbourview but rooms look a bit old and so far away from everything else (farther than Ofanu). Anyone been there? Too bad it is too far away from everything but it at the end of the Narita Express so don't need to pay extra if you bought the round trip ticket.Avoid the IC at Yokohama - its very old and needs a major refurb.
Email the hotel that you wish to stay in and ask them if the serve Champagne in the club lounge.
Because I don't drink champagne, I have never checked in the lounge or can remember.
hard to justify staying at any chain even with status when toyoko and the like is less than 10000 per day (sometimes as low as 8000)The train from Sakuraguchiko station takes 44 minutes to Tokyo station. My old legs take 10 minutes to walk to Sakuraguchiko station.
Yes the rooms in the Yokohama grand are old and it needs a refurb but it is still quite comfortable. It is by far the cheapest IHG hotel in the Tokyo area.
looked at late may and rates- Yokohama grand -19400
Tokyo Bay IC -55593
Pier 8 Yokohama -43650
The Strings -66110
Kimpton -76417
Indigo -70471
ANA Tokyo IC -unavailable.
So when the rates are 25 - 45% of the other IHG hotels in the Tokyo area I consider it excellent value. For me having the complimentary lounge access pass it is a no brainer.
And yes they do have champagne in the IC club and I had a glass of Veuve there 3 nights ago.
thanks Ive been doing this and trying to find the right hotel for the wifeAvoid the IC at Yokohama - its very old and needs a major refurb.
