Looking for best way to fly Tokyo to Brisbane on 28 April 2015 in J. I wish to use Qantas FF points.
So far I can only find Tokyo to Cairns in J and Cairns to Brisbane in Economy. Need 2 seats.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

28th April 2016?

What airline did you find business class on to CNS? Was it Jetstar?

Hi greenfish,

Tokyo to Cairns is with Jetstar business class. It arrives at 4.40am. The Qantas site shows the rest of the way in Economy.

Just keep in mind that this is Jetstar business class, so really premium economy. A struggle to sleep in those seats.

There's availability NRT->HKG->BNE leaving Japan at 18:30 on the 27th, then taking the midday flight on Cathay to Brisbane; you'd have to overnight in HKG for this one. Any flexibilty with dates? The 28th looks problematic.

No idea if this would work for you, but have you tried calling QF to see if there is J availability on the JAL NRT-SYD flight? (In the unlikely event that there is availability, it won't show on qantas.com...)

I checked on the BA site which I believe shows JL availability - no luck unfortunately...

Thanks for the suggestion Mattg. Tried calling couple of days ago but ended up hanging up as I was waiting for long time. I will try again.

Patience is what I needed . Tried every morning until a few days ago and ended up with Tokyo - Sydney - Brisbane in J. Checked again the next day and this was no longer available. It seems a few seats are released every now and then.

Thanks to all for your thoughts.

Pleased it worked out for you. Sometimes people cancel their bookings too, so patience works well when you have some time. You can also set up alerts using Expertflyer (paid for) which will tell you when seats come up - avoiding having to keep checking.
