I put shade down during day flights, especially if sun on that side. If someone raised it I would close it. If they did it again, they might find water accidentally splashed on them.
Yes, I only touch the shade that belongs to my seat area. I wouldnt think to reach forward to someone elses space or to the rear of my seat and close someone elses blinds and I have a eye mask if it annoys me.You are talking about your own window shade, aren't you? Not someone else's?
Whilst I have tolerance for babies I have absolutely zero tolerance for kids screaming and running amok on flights.
I pray for the day when someone brings in Adults only flights. Have only ever really lost my temper once on a flight and it was due to a fair little mongrel behind us
Hope you don't mind me yanking on the headrest when I need to get up and stretch my legs?Same with reclining on short trips, I dont ask permission. The seat is made to recline, I dont full recline but I do recline (slowly) a little bit. Unless JohnK is sitting behind me one day, then Im slamming my seat back with my phone app blaring trumpets
You sound like one of the good parents.I
I used to think the same until I had my own kids. My oldest daughter was amazing from day one but, Mini Me, tested my limits many times (and the patients of many FFers). It was all fixed when he got his own noise cancelling headphones and an iPad with tones of kids shows and games (thank you YouTube Red). He even flew BNE-LAX and only felt sleep when landing at LAX
With elbows, knees, feet, legs, shoulders etc in the aisle how do you propose people navigate their way up and down the aisle?Passengers who use the aisle seat head rests as stabilisers when walking up/down the aisles

Use the overhead bins.
I've done enough bus tours, they ask you to run your hands along the overheads on each side to steady yourself if you want to move around. Works just as well on a plane.
You know youve been on AFF too long when you start thinking about walking down the cabin to/from your seat and say to yourself, but its only 2 or 3 rows. And it's what FA's tend to do...

The overheads arent that high, most people can probably reach the bottom. Heck I have to bend in half so as not to hit my head getting in and our of my seat (I've thumped it more than once).A short answer but probably not suitable for short people.
I'll have to check next time but think it will be difficult to walk along the aisle with head looking down and hands above head.Use the overhead bins.

Hopefully the pilot does too !

And adults are better behaved?
I hope they dont rely exclusively on looking out the window - they get more information from their instruments. And for some when they do look out the window they got no idea what to do. Remember OZ214?. The pilot was supposed to be looking out the window and couldn't land at SFO on a clear sunny day.
