Mine, VA Y pax that cough and moan about not having access to the forward toilets.

Bonus points for Facebook rants about it being "discrimination".

I put shade down during day flights, especially if sun on that side. If someone raised it I would close it. If they did it again, they might find water accidentally splashed on them.

You are talking about your own window shade, aren't you? Not someone else's?

Yes, I only touch the shade that belongs to my seat area. I wouldnt think to reach forward to someone elses space or to the rear of my seat and close someone elses blinds and I have a eye mask if it annoys me.

I
Whilst I have tolerance for babies I have absolutely zero tolerance for kids screaming and running amok on flights.
I pray for the day when someone brings in Adults only flights. Have only ever really lost my temper once on a flight and it was due to a fair little mongrel behind us

I used to think the same until I had my own kids. My oldest daughter was amazing from day one but, Mini Me, tested my limits many times (and the patients of many FFers). It was all fixed when he got his own noise cancelling headphones and an iPad with tones of kids shows and games (thank you YouTube Red). He even flew BNE-LAX and only felt sleep when landing at LAX

Would have thought reclining would be higher. ;)

Same with reclining on short trips, I dont ask permission. The seat is made to recline, I dont full recline but I do recline (slowly) a little bit. Unless JohnK is sitting behind me one day, then Im slamming my seat back with my phone app blaring trumpets :)
Hope you don't mind me yanking on the headrest when I need to get up and stretch my legs?

I was on a QF flight to OOL a couple of weeks ago and as soon as seat belt sign went off the lady in 4C slammed seat back without checking. Who does that on such a short flight? I was in 6D so didn't affect me but it's not a nice look and I don't remember seeing someone do this for many years so not that common thank God.

You sound like one of the good parents.
The worst we had was a lady behind us on a flight from Chiang Mai who within 5 minutes of takeoff put her noise cancelling headphones and eye mask on and went to sleep whilst her little brat proceeded to kick the hell out of my wife’s seat. Eventually the hostess woke the lady up and was given a barrage of abuse for waking her. Thankfully we were moved up the front and karma eventually came back to bite him.
He was running amok near the baggage carousels whilst his mother was talking on her phone and not paying attention and the little sod ploughed into a baggage trolley. We had a slight chuckle when we went past a few moments later I must admit

Passengers who use the aisle seat head rests as stabilisers when walking up/down the aisles
With elbows, knees, feet, legs, shoulders etc in the aisle how do you propose people navigate their way up and down the aisle?

Use the overhead bins.

You know youve been on AFF too long when you start thinking about walking down the cabin to/from your seat and say to yourself, but its only 2 or 3 rows.

Yeah... until work books you on the only flight that gets you home that night which is on VA and I can't select anything better than row 21

Unless I pay $35 of course.

Use the overhead bins.

Provided you can reach them. With some people sticking so far out into the isle there is a need to step over the protruding parts and hanging from the overhead bins may be out of the question.

A short answer but probably not suitable for short people.

The overheads arent that high, most people can probably reach the bottom. Heck I have to bend in half so as not to hit my head getting in and our of my seat (I've thumped it more than once).

And adults are better behaved?

.....

Hopefully the pilot does too !

I hope they dont rely exclusively on looking out the window - they get more information from their instruments. And for some when they do look out the window they got no idea what to do. Remember OZ214?. The pilot was supposed to be looking out the window and couldn't land at SFO on a clear sunny day.

That's what the cattle prod is for!

There's a bit more to a visual approach than looking out the window. Even then, you only get part of the information from out there...line up, and aim point. Airspeed, power and sink rate are all still inside.

If we aren't within a couple of thousand feet of the ground, if I'm looking out the window it's for the same reason as the passengers.
