Train derailment sends three B737s swimming

I think the 737 fuselages come from Sprint AreoSystems out of Wichita Kansas ...... so it would probably come down to where Boeing accepts delivery as one element ......either at the AeroSystems factory gate, or on delivery into the Boeing Renton facility... If you were to take a punt you'd probably go with delivery being acceptance at Renton putting the risk exposure on the supplier.

With deliveries being time line critically and with Boeing's clout I'd would not be surprised if late delivery liquidated damages penalty clauses got held up in the air and waved around ......As always... somehow, somewhere, somebody is going to want to be paid.

If Parliament House burnt down (after the celebrations died down) the Australian taxpayers would have to rebuild it.
Like the 737 fuselages, I'm guessing for your example the length of the 'Celebration period' would be dependent on several factors ...... ?????

Insurance and re-insurance can be a very risky business.
Governments self insure generally.

Those Boeing frames need to be perfect so letting them go for a slide and swim was not ideal for creating perfect.

Of course, we heard the massive criticism of the Queensland government for self insuring. And we all had to pay the flood levy.

Probably a good thing they were scrapped, what airline is going to want a new but previously damaged plane in its fleet?

With the Queensland floods we donated and the we were levied and we were happy to help out.
Looks like the hair dryer approach together with tape was a no go for those damaged plane bodies.
