Had you requested kerbside assistance you would have been met by a First host and a porter. They generally ask if you need assistance getting to the lounge. If yes, then a First host will guide you through. Then they should also offer to collect you for preboarding.

I request a First host for my parent when they travel to make is easier for them when they fly F (One is WP).

I have only utilised the First host ex LAX specifically to beat security queues (which depends on which TSA agents are on roster) and the host was delightful.
They did say they could meet us with a porter, but it seemed a bit unnecessary. They take the boarding passes in the lounge in Sydney and bring them back when boarding, which is nice as you don't have to listen to announcements. Never asked for or been offered anything outside of Australia. So what about in Hong Kong? We are flying F in August and then getting a ferry from the airport to Macau - could you ask for a First host to meet you and tell you where to go to get the ferry? If that is an appropriate thing to do, do you request it when they phone you the day before your flight?

I've never had a F host on arrival, though others have reported they have.

Thanks - we'll probably just work it out on our own. It has been 30 years since we were in Hong Kong so don't know the airport at all. It seems to be a common thing to get the ferry though so probably well sign posted.

It can't hurt to ask.

Why don't you request the host on this experience to test?

I do not want to see that baggage tag...
DRW-xSYD-xMEL-xLHR-FCO can the tag even fit that many destinations on? Even worse if it adds in DXB on the way to LHR...

When I flew MEL-SYD-NAN-LAX-DFW-AUS I got all 5 boarding passes at MEL check-in. They also had to attach two baggage tags to each checked item to fit it all on.

Its fairly simple and well signed. Check out the airport map for an idea where it is. Btw... do not forget to keep your baggage receipt otherwise you will be denied a ticket.

On the subject of Chauffeur drive, I am flying from London (via Dubai) to Melbourne in First Class on Qantas in May followed by Business class Melbourne to Canberra. (only one way - I am going to the US first and then from US to UK but those flights are economy) Flight was booked using AA points. Will I be eligible?

Do you know how long we should allow for between landing and getting a ferry? The hotel wants an arrival time for pick up from the ferry terminal in Macau - I know how long the ferry ride is, but not how long we should allow between landing and getting a ferry - do you think an hour?
