I'm within 20,000 points of Points Club but my deadline is rapidly approaching. I've got a lot of dead points sitting in AMEX Membership Rewards which I can transfer to QFF in a 2:1 ratio. I've been flying a few Classic Rewards flights lately so it is useful to have Points Club to accrue the SC.

Will points transferred from AMEX Memership Rewards to QFF count toward Points Club? Has anyone done this? Any hurdles?

Thanks everyone!

They are points that you earn on the ground and not one of the exclusions mentioned (https://www.qantas.com/au/en/frequent-flyer/status-and-clubs/points-club.html) so I think they should. Note there is a cap of 125,000 points per transaction (not that you'd probably be wanting to transfer enough Amex Rewards to get that in a single transaction now, but for future reference) that can count. So if you wanted to transfer enough rewards to get the full 150,000 points for Points Club starting from a tally of 0 you'd need to do it in at least two transactions.

You can also have up to 20,000 points that you earn from flying during the membership year count towards Points Club.

I transferred some Amex Membership Rewards a few months back when there was a promotion offering SCs. I don't have enough Qantas Points to qualify for Points Club, but the transfer counted towards qualifying for Points Club based on what is display in my account.
