Good morning, I have a bit of a curly question and hoping a AFF expert may be able to help please?

I have found award flight availability via Award Logic flying Qatar and able to book with Velocity points. My husband has the points and generally would just book the flight for me in my name direct from the virgin website.

The award flight is not showing through Virgin but is through Award Logic. I have 'saved' this seat and Award Logic should phone to confirm points etc.

I'm thinking that as these are hubbies velocity points it may cause an issue. To add to this, I am currently in the UK and my husband is in Australia, Award Logic are based in America so there are time differences to think of. I'm trying to get back to Australia in the next 2-3 days.

If my husband transfers the extra points I require so that I have enough, will they hit my account instantly so that I am ready to confirm when Award Logic contact me?

Many thanks all

I am just wondering how Award Logic would book the flight for you if you can't book it through VA's website yourself?
Not sure, because of the delay I asked for a refund from Award Logic, and a magical First Class Emirates popped up for only 220k Qantas points so I booked and travelled that. Business was still showing at around 2Million so I was very lucky to be awake in that 10 minute window!

For what it’s worth, transfers from velocity to kris are instant as well (which can be very helpful).
Would just add my recent experience (which was probably an outlier) was that Velocity to Kris took about 3 hours to land. Family Velocity was indeed instant, though.

Not clear from another thread - must the family member have the same address for transfers?
