I will be travelling with my 2 children to London from Darwin via Singapore mid December on flights JQ61 and QF1. The two sectors of my trip were booked separately through the corresponding airlines and are therefore on different tickets. I am advised that Jetstar will not check our bags through to the next flight and that we will have to pass through immigration, collect bags etc. and check in for QF1 at Changi.

JQ61 arrives in Singapore at 21.20 (hopefully) and QF1 departs at 23.59. I was just wondering if anyone on this forum has taken the same trip (on separate tickets) and can advise if 2hrs40 is sufficient time to make the transfer.

thanks

Never a real issue with Changi if the aircraft are on time, although doing OLCI with QF in advance will help!

I believe you can as generally the JQ ground staff in DRW (Menzies) will ask you what your final destination is.

However, the best people to answer this question are the checkin staff themselves so I would go there one afternoon before your travel date when they will be on shift & ask them.

Forget ringing the call centre - they have no idea.

i have transferred from QF to Jetstar Asia at SIN on seperate tickets, just went to the transit desk and gave them my baggage tags. They rerouted them and gave me my boarding pass and I went off to the lounge without clearing immigration.

i would try first at the transit desk, worst case scenario 2 hours 40 should be sufficient to go out and check back in again.
