Hi guys,

Hoping someone has experience to share about say Mel-BNE-LAX and back. What is the process at BNE to and fro? mainly interested in Fro. I assume collect luggage, then recheck, and get on a Tbus or similar... like sydney?

I was wondering if any opportunity to give some stuff to people i know i bne before getting on the flight to mel?

Thanks in adv :)

Absolutely what you said. Collect bags, clear border force, into terminal (landslide), to transfer desk, checkin and drop bags, then either bus or train. Minimum connection time 90 mins but should take 45-60mins if you went straight through.

So yep, plenty of opportunity to drop stuff in either intl or Dom terminals.

Although Deewhy has answered your question here is the link for all airports with International connections on VA.

And on your outbound leg, your bags should be checked through to LAX from BNE.

It's a straightforward bus/train from domestic to international terminals once you get to BNE. The T-bus is probably a better bet than the AirTrain, which runs less frequently than the bus and still takes roughly the same amount of time, and you have to walk up to the elevated station. Even if VA give you a pass for the train, if you see a bus when you walk out of the domestic terminal, jump on the bus instead (it's free for everybody anyway).

Thank you everyone much appreciated!!!
