Just a heads up that VA created *two* travel banks for me for some reason, which meant I had one linked to my Velocity number and another one linked to a 777 ticket number.

Double check that you haven’t accidentally had a second one created as I had a nice $700 surprise when I found it.

Was it a Future Flight Credit from a previous booking prior to April 2020 (credit expiry recently extended to 2022)?

There are a few reasons why you may have had a second travel bank created:
1. The booking was made before April 2020 (as AIRwin mentioned above this is a future flight credit) - Most of the Future flight credit accounts started with 777 in the username.
2. Your initial travel balance was over $4999 - the maximum you can apparently have in a single account.
3. The booking didn't have a velocity number attached therefore a new travel bank account was created.

I too have two travel banks, one a Future flight and the other under my Velocity number.

I had a situation with a cancelled booking made with a Credit Card this year being credited to my Future Flight Credit Travel Bank rather that the normal one. In fact, for a short time my FFC balance was greater than it when it started.

It was caught as I received a confirmation email while still on the call and I noticed it was to the wrong account.

I explained to the agent that FFC have the following restrictions when compared to standard Travel Bank:

- Can't use Promo codes
- Reduced availability

After explaining this I was able to get it fixed then and there.

Thanks everyone, it's exceptionally confusing with all of the different credits and cancellations that I've endured... so just thought I'd remind people that there might be two different travel banks floating around for people affected by this.

Just went to my travel bank and identified a cancellation of $3500. They didn’t expire but now seeing this thread there may be a duplicate future credit account somewhere with my $3500. Any suggestions on how I find that potential duplicate account. I can’t speak with anyone after hours that can assist. Thanks.

It should have come via email.

Search for the following in your inbox:
We're pleased to advise that your Future Flight credit is now available for use via Travel Bank

Just to check when the $3500 was removed does it show "Administrative Entry"?

If so you should be able to click on it and at least get the account number (try searching the account number in your inbox as well). The account number can't be used to reset an account but it does help over the phone when finding it.

For $3500 I’d be pulling out all stops to find it!!!
